THE CHALLENGE
Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. (ICS) was tasked with developing an Advanced Transportation Controller (ATC) for one of its traffic-management systems clients. Today's advanced traffic signal controller must integrate leading-edge electronics while supporting industry standards and specifications.
THE SOLUTION
ICS combined ATC open architecture functionality with the latest handheld technology features to create a sophisticated safety system. We matched the touchscreen user interface with a Linux-based operating system, making programming and access to functions extremely easy. It is a significant improvement over the legacy systems typical in this industry.
